off the grid tours – fiji

We highly recommend the “Off the grid tour – Fiji”. It was our favourite tour during our time in Fiji, and the first stop was at a mixed Fijian and Fijian Indian school which was amazing. The school children were so happy to see us. They asked questions, showed us their schoolwork, and gathered around us both. The teachers also had time for us and answered any questions we had. Afterwards we visited a Fijian Indian farm where we sampled some very tasty local food and refreshments and had a chance to see how the locals live and work. We then proceeded up a very mountainous road where we were able to take some excellent photos of the beautiful scenery. After this we visited a nearby village where we experienced first-hand how life in a village works. It takes a village to raise a child and the village visit reinforced the joy of an extended family. We were again given local food which was a very enjoyable experience as most of the food was sourced from their village.
